Quarantine & TikTok has me Obsessing Over Plants

I know I’m not the ONLY person to find this new addition, habit or hobby. I find myself literally obsessing and changing my entire daily routine to be about my PLANTS. I might have developed an issue as it’s gotten so bad. I can’t seem to find myself to want to think about much else…plants I want to buy…plants that I’m buying online…and checking on my plants and cuttings and leaves and soil and fertilizers and moisture levels. It’s a bit crazy but my thought process…if it’s easing my way through the extreme changes of what is going on around us then what’s it really hurting.

Made For More!

I remember the first time I came across Rachel Hollis…

Pssst….I promise the free download is here…

I saw her pictured in a shirt stating her famous words “Made For More”. These words struck me to my core. It was as if my-true-self had literally jumped up and yelled at me the very words I had been telling myself all along. It was that confirmation of hey world I’m not alone in this fight to wanting to be More than what I am right now. I didn’t realize at that time that it was her brand and her words she happened to be wearing…

Brave enough to be Vulnerable…

Ever so recently,

I’ve decided to start the journey of writing out my story. It’s been something that has been on my heart for a long time now but I’ve never quite had the courage to start. During these past weeks I’ve become brave enough to take the leap to share and open up a part of me that often times I’d rather simply forget. The question that I seemed to struggle with is why is it so important about sharing one’s story?

Hitting Reset…

I can not believe it’s been over 6 years since I’ve seen the ocean and felt the warmth of the sand beneath my feet. It was a much-needed vacation for the entire family. For me, it was everything I needed right then and there. Our original objective for the trip down was to celebrate our friend’s wedding day who chose the beach to be the location of their ceremony. It was, of course, beautiful even between the shattered showers that were intermittent throughout but nothing is more beautiful than a couple choosing to the become one to start a new life together as they exchange vows that last for all eternity.

Why does your shop have Chickens, Goats and Bikes…Oh My!

I know it seems odd that I would have such things placed in my shop…but these are actually simply linked and not items you can purchased directly off of my site. Shine Uganda is an Organization that is close to my heart. It was founded by my Bother and his entire family of 13!  They happen to have 4 of their beautfiul children adopted from Uganda, Africa. (This sings to my heart being that I’m adopted as well.) read more

Jewelry Making…Restored…

So I spent the better part of the other day organizing my office/craft room. In doing so, it forced me to look upon boxes and boxes filled with beads, charms, findings, clasps, and tools. It was later that night I decided to take a look at my daughters new Hope Bracelet she had purchased that had busted only moments after putting it on. It was one of those stretchy band ones and super cheap so it didn’t surprise me that it ended up bursting right away. I knew in past years that the quality of materials is everything when it came to creating a piece of jewelry that was going to last. I had remembered coming across my stretchy floss/string and decided I’d do a quick fix and to restring-up the bracelet for her. After finishing this caused me to want to redo another one of her bracelets that her Aunt had given to her that was a bit too small. Remaking these bracelets really sparked something in me that had been pushed aside for so many years…
